Raja Ampat, West Papua

The atmosphere are so relaxing when the first time I landed in Jeffman Airport at Sorong, West Papua, Indonesia. I was there to go to one of the best surfer heaven in the world, people said. Raja Ampat is located in West Papua's remote location. This region save a million beauty beneath the sea. Raja Ampat marine tourism is recognized as one of the 10 best diving site in the world. With charm and richness of the underwater world, this region is known as the center of the richest natural resources in the tropical world.
This district has 610 islands. Four of them, namely Pulau Misool, Salawati, Batanta, and Waigeo, the larger islands. That is why it is called Raja Ampat (Four Kings in Indonesian language). From all over the island, only 35 islands are inhabited. Islands are uninhabited and mostly do not have a name.
As the islands, the only inter-island transportation and supporting community activities in Raja Ampat, is the ocean freight. Similarly to reach Waisai, the district capital. When using the aircraft, first to the city of Sorong. After that, the trip from Sorong to Waisai followed by sea transport. Facilities available are fast boats with a capacity of 10, 15,or 30 people. At a cost of about Rp. 2 million, Waisai can be reached within 1.5 to two hours.
Raja Ampat is a new district in Indonesia. Located in remote areas of West Papuawas only seven years old. In fact, the infrastructure is inadequate. To reach the Raja Ampat, travelers must fly to Sorong and then along the sea as far as 71 miles to arrive at Raja Ampat.
Hmmm, I want to relax from my daily activity now, see you there....
